This annual event is an important space for states to come together to advance the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). Building a Better World For All: Youth-led Initiatives to Ensure Inclusive and Accountable Environments

Join us at our side event with Humanity & Inclusion and Restless Development this Friday 4 December, which will bring together representatives from youth civil society and governments to explore the opportunities and challenges when collecting citizen-generated data that can help to ensure effective implementation of the CRPD and 2030 Agenda.

Inclusion Counts: data-driven advocacy for implementation of the CRPD

Organiser: European Disability Forum (EDF) with partners from Innovation to Inclusion (i2i)

This event will focus on the innovative processes adapted to build capacity on data-driven advocacy during the time of COVID-19, and will highlight why such tools and capacity building are essential. Themes explored will include: the role of OPDs in policy change by data driven advocacy, CRPD Articles 27 & 28, pivoting of ongoing programmatic work to address challenges presented by COVID-19, OPD engagement in CRPD monitoring and current and future commitments of UK Government to disability inclusion.

The Future of Work: Inclusive and accessible business for sustainable growth

The side event, co-hosted by Leonard Cheshire and the Nippon Foundation took place on Wednesday 2nd December.
